Read the experiences that underscore how crucial whole food nutrition is to pet health. Using Veterinary Formulas, veterinarians around the country have given new hope to pet owners worried about the health of their dogs and cats.

J. Kyle Daniel, DVM
Murfreesboro, TN

"Do you ever doubt whether your canine and feline patients receive adequate nutrition? Doubt is what led me to where I am today—healthier patients, appreciative clients and greater practice income.

As a small-animal veterinarian for 11 years, I’ve seen countless cases where it seemed more complete nutrition would be another piece in the puzzle to support optimal wellness. After a lot of personal research, I began supplementing my patients’ diets with Standard Process Veterinary Formulas. I found them to be the best whole food nutrition available for pets.

I share this with you in case you believe, as I do, that many pets need more nutrition than they get from commercial pet foods. Ask yourself, could you eat a diet of highly processed food and feel your best? My answer was no, and that is what led me to research supplements.

It’s been a year and a half now. I’ve given Veterinary Formulas to patients who need support to maintain healthy liver enzyme values and also to those needing support for healthy kidney values while on a restricted protein diet. I’ve also had success using them to support conventional therapy for mange. Three to seven bottles leave my office every day.

At our hospital we use the latest technologies, such as ultrasound and lasers, but we also take a proactive and integrated approach to wellness, and that’s where Veterinary Formulas fit."

"After receiving product information from Standard Process about six months ago, I decided to try the company’s
Veterinary Formulas line of nutritional whole food supplements. Their approach just seemed to make sense. So I tried them on my own pets first, with success, and then I began recommending them for my clinic patients."

"The best response I’ve received so far is from a dog on the adrenal formula. She became a much more active
participant in her family life. Two cats with kidney challenges have stabilized on a feline formula. And I have a number of clients who simply believe good nutrition will help prevent challenges, so they like the whole body support formulas."

"The products are easy to administer, and I use them to support conventional therapies. My clients are happy there’s something more they can do for their pets’ health."

"I recommend that you try them to improve nutritional intake in otherwise healthy-looking animals. Difficult cases are another way to get started. Provide the formulas to a dog or cat when you feel there are few or no other options. Then you’ll clearly see the benefits of these products."

DVM, Veterinary Formulas“The Veterinary Formulas really help with nutritional deficiencies. Dogs and cats eating a processed food diet are missing a lot of nutrients that get destroyed during processing. Veterinary Formulas put those nutrients back.

“They’re complementary to the treatment I provide for my patients, and I’ve had excellent results with them. All of my clients who use the Veterinary Formulas have seen good results and are happy with them. And once they’re using the products, they often re-order from me without my reminding them.

“I don’t think there’s anything quite like Veterinary Formulas. For one, they contain Protomorphogen™ extracts. Quality control is very good. Then there’s also the organics. And they’re whole food based. Other companies use a lot of synthetics.”

DVM, Veterinary Formulas"Veterinary Formulas provide very good nutrition and have a positive effect. The problem with so many other products out there is that they contain synthetic vitamins. I’ve visited Standard Process, and I’m very impressed with how the company develops its products. Quality control is just heads above anything else.

“It’s very hard to consider any other company once you’ve seen the quality control and testing processes at Standard Process. I don’t think any other company even comes near it. I have nothing but praises for the people there. Whether I’m calling the company for service or just working with my rep, I have nothing but praises for their customer service.”

supplements, Veterinary Formulas“There are countless supplements on the market but not one that matches the Veterinary Formulas. Standard Process includes ingredients such as the Protomorphogen™ and Cytosol™ extracts, so the products are much more than just a whole food vitamin supplement. Each product offers specific organ support. There just isn’t another product on the market like Veterinary Formulas. And, they’re profitable for my practice.

“A client of mine is a veterinary technician at a conventional practice. She treated her cat conventionally. I put him on a complementary program. Six months out, the cat is normal. To see him go from where he was to being normal today through the use of these supplements is really astounding. I see too many positives to list. I have case report upon case report. The products work. When my patients return for their re-checks and I re-examine through nutrition response testing, I get much better reads on their organs. Much better.”

DVM, real nutrition"Veterinary Formulas can make improvements that other products can’t. We had a 7-year-old West Highland white terrier present with symptoms that included abdominal bloating, frequent urination and daily accidents, restlessness, severe skin problems and an ALKP at 246. We addressed the situation with a protocol that included chiropractic adjustments and Standard Process Canine Adrenal Support™. Within a few weeks, the dog's attitude, body shape, and water consumption and elimination all improved. In three months, his ALKP was back to normal at 113. The owners continue to give the dog Canine Adrenal Support at home, and have told us that they couldn't be more pleased with the positive changes in their Westie.

“Veterinarians really value diets. They’ll want to put a dog with liver or kidney challenges on a specific diet. Unfortunately, a lot of times the dogs don’t want to eat it. With Standard Process products, veterinarians can let the animals eat what they want, add in Veterinary Formulas, and end up doing a much better job. This is real nutrition. This is unrivaled nutrition that needs to be worked into a dog’s feeding program. Processed foods don’t cut it.

“Veterinary Formulas have a higher markup than food. They don’t take up much shelf space. And people buy time and time again. The bottom line is this: Veterinarians end up providing a better service to their patients while increasing their profits.”

Veterinary Formulas“One of my favorite products is Feline Renal Support™. I use it on all of my patients needing kidney support, and I’ve been impressed. In fact, one of my own cats has been on it for quite a few years. I see BUN and creatinines at healthy levels. There really isn’t anything else like these formulas. The products really fill a niche because patients with challenged kidneys need additional support to complement conventional therapy.

“My clients really like the Standard Process products. I can see improvement and results. I also believe they’re reasonably priced. Another important point is that in general they’re palatable, even for most cats. I consider Veterinary Formulas a nice adjunct to our practice because they fill a niche that complements conventional therapy.”

dvm, Veterinary Formulas“We had an Italian Greyhound, a so-called poster child of in-breeding for a purebred dog. He had a lot of congenital issues. At 7 years old, he had an enlarged heart and very high liver values. Alkaline phosphatase had gone up to almost 1900 and the SGPT was at about 800 when he initially presented. We complemented conventional therapy with Standard Process Veterinary Formulas. In one month his alkaline phosphatase was down to about 230 and his SGPT was normal. I anticipate that when we check him next time, everything will be normal again. He’s done very well. He’s bright and alert. I’m told he’s very active.

“Most of the problems we face with medicine today are in part rooted in the fact that we have altered our food source and the body can’t repair itself because it’s not getting what it’s looking for from the diet. The whole foods in Veterinary Formulas provide the missing nutrition the body looks for. These are not vitamins you find at pet retail outlets. Veterinary Formulas are a source of nutrition providing totally balanced, whole body support. You can’t get the same high level of nutrition from a bag. Commercial pet foods are overly processed.”

dvm, Veterinary Formulas“The Feline Whole Body Support™ is quite an amazing product. It will help clear chemicals. It supports every major organ in the cat’s body. I see the results. In veterinary school and medical school, we’re trained to look for and treat symptoms. Now I look for the cause and treat the source by supporting the body and letting the body heal itself.

“When I first talk to clients about Feline Whole Body Support, I try to use analogies to point out how people are killing their dogs and cats with poor nutrition. For example, I might tell them they can have the best car and the best engine, but their car won’t run well if they fill it with bad gasoline.

“From an economic perspective, I have a lot of people come in during the day just to buy Veterinary Formulas.”

DVM, Veterinary Formulas“I had a 17-year-old cat with renal challenges. The owners gave the Standard Process supplements for six months and then stopped. I saw the cat a year after they stopped. There was no intervening therapy of any kind, and the hematocrit was still almost as high as it had been when I had last seen the cat. It was still normal. The kidney values were starting to come up but they were still lower than when I had seen the cat a year and a half before. I’ve had several renal challenge cases where the kidney values go back to normal or almost normal after using Standard Process products.

“Working with one of my first renal challenge cats really drove home how different Standard Process products are. The cat had a low white blood cell count and a low protein level. I was working with another veterinarian very experienced with Standard Process products. I had been treating the cat for a year and a half. Initially, I had put it on water-soluble vitamins, which tend to be lost in renal-challenged animals. Finally, the other veterinarian said, ‘why not take the cat off all supplements except Standard Process?’ Within three weeks, the cat’s white blood cell count doubled to normal range. It was just another indication to me that Standard Process products are truly unique.”

dvm, Veterinary Formulas“After attending my first Standard Process seminar, I decided to try Feline Enteric Support™ and Feline Hepatic Support™ as a complement to my treatment of a cat with serious bowel health issues. I had been treating the cat conventionally with anti-inflammatories on a monthly basis for six years. Within three weeks, the cat was markedly better. I then stopped the conventional treatment. That was two and a half years ago. The cat is still well today. It never needed further conventional treatment, and it continues on the Standard Process Veterinary Formulas.

“My clients love the products, though initially I wondered how they would react when I described the ingredients in Veterinary Formulas. But that’s only because I had heard stories about how people reacted to their vets when being told about herbal medications and nutraceuticals, even though Veterinary Formulas don’t fall into that category. But I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. People are very accepting of the products. You know, people are looking for more natural ways to address their health so it makes sense that they want the same things for their pets. People have embraced Veterinary Formulas. They know they’re not a drug. They know the products are going to help their pets.”
